Frequently asked questions
AI transformation, plainly answered.
What an AI transformation partner actually does, how it differs from a classic AI consultancy, what engagements look like, and how regulated financial companies use AI without upsetting the regulator.
What is an AI transformation partner?
An AI transformation partner is a team that rebuilds how a company operates around AI, rather than advising from the outside. Hoomara works embedded inside financial companies: we find the workflows where AI creates real leverage, build agentic, AI-native systems in production with your team, and hand everything over so you stay independent.
How is an AI transformation partner different from an AI consultancy?
A classic AI consultancy analyses, recommends and leaves a strategy deck; delivery is someone else's problem. An AI transformation partner owns delivery: the engagement ends with working systems in production and your team running them. Hoomara is both — the analysis of a consultancy, then the embedded engineering team that ships it.
What does Hoomara do?
Hoomara is an AI transformation partner and consultancy for financial companies in Germany and the DACH region. We move legacy financial operations — onboarding, credit workflows, claims, back-office reconciliation — to agentic, AI-native systems, working embedded in your team, and design every engagement to end with a full handover.
Who does Hoomara work with?
Financial companies across the DACH region: neobanks, lending platforms, banks and insurers, insurtechs, embedded-finance providers, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and the consulting firms advising them. If you run regulated financial operations and legacy systems are the ceiling on what you can build, you are who we work with.
Can regulated banks and insurers use AI agents under BaFin, MaRisk and DORA?
Yes — if the systems are built for the regulator from day one rather than retrofitted. That means traceable decision paths, audit trails, human oversight over material decisions, model governance and operational resilience. Hoomara builds these controls into every system from the first sprint, covering EU AI Act, GDPR, DORA, MiFID II and BaFin expectations.
How long does an AI transformation take?
It starts small and compounds. Our AI Readiness Check is a free 30–60 minute session; an Alignment Workshop takes about a week; an Opportunity Diagnostic about two weeks; and a first Embedded Build typically ships in four to eight weeks. A full transformation is a sequence of such builds, prioritised by leverage — not a multi-year big bang.
What does AI transformation cost?
The Readiness Check is free; workshops, diagnostics and builds are fixed-price, scoped after the diagnostic so you decide with cost, effort and funding options on the table. There is no open-ended retainer: every engagement is designed to end, with your team owning the result. The honest answer to "how much" is the 30-minute call.
Where is Hoomara based?
Hoomara is based in Munich, Germany, and works with financial companies across Germany, Austria and Switzerland — embedded with client teams on-site or remote. Hoomara is part of the Multroid family and the founding team behind Notiva, an AI-native financial operating system.
What is Notiva?
Notiva is an AI-native financial operating system that the Hoomara team designed and shipped end to end, from first commit to production. It is our proof: everything we do for clients — agentic workflows, compliance built in from the start, human judgment kept in the loop — we did there first. You can find it at notiva.de.
